JUNIOR & MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP RULES

2010

 

 


Competition for Junior & Minor Lawn Bowlers in Ontario will be in Minor Men’s and Ladies’ Singles (18 or under Singles), and Junior Men’s and Ladies’ Singles (Under 25 Qualifier).

 

1.      All the Ontario Championship Rules, in addition to those noted below, shall be in effect.

 

2.      Junior and Minor Bowlers may enter all Championship events for which they are eligible.

 

3.      Entries must be made to the appropriate contact on or before the Entry Deadline.

 

4.      a) For the Ontario Minor Bowls Championships, a player must be 18 or under as of January 1, 2010 (Birth date must be after January 1, 1991).

 

b) For the Junior Men’s and Junior Ladies’ Championships, a player must turn 18 on or before December 31, 2010 and be 25 or under as of December 31, 2010 (Birth date must be on or after January 1, 1985 and on or before December 31, 1992).

 

5.      Where possible, a modified round-robin format will be used. Singles players will play a tie breaker to 11 points.

 

6.      Format for the Junior Men’s and Ladies’ Championships will mirror the Bowls Canada Boulingrin Canadian World Junior Cup Selection (Under 25 Qualifier).

 

7.      Convenors reserve the right to change format as required.

 

8.      Players must be able to attend for the full duration of the Championship Event.

 

9.      Provincial winners must be prepared to attend the National Competition in their Category.

 

10.    Winners of the Canadian World Junior Cup Selection (Under 25 Qualifier must be       prepared to attend the World Junior Cup Outdoor Singles Event).
