Two new laws, introduced in the recent Crystal Mark 4th Edition of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls (2022), have been rescinded, effective immediately.
On May 25, 2023, World Bowls agreed to the following recommendation from the WB Laws Advisory Group: to rescind Laws 37.1.3 and 37.1.5.3. These laws pertained to the deliberate displacement or stopping of a bowl in its original course, or the lifting of a bowl at rest to allow a bowl in its original course to pass. For further details on the decision see here.
The OLBA Officiating Committee recommends that the following amendments be made to each copy of the BCB rule book (2022 version).
