 Elsie Gibson Memorial - September 11, 2022 This tournament is in memory of Elsie Gibson, a long-time member of Willowdale Lawn Bowling Club. This will be the last one. It lasted ten years, that was Elsie's wish on her will. The day started with a light breakfast of coffee, tea, croissants, cream cheese, and jams. Following the first game, the ladies came in for a healthy lunch of a delicious homemade soup of leeks and asparagus and various salads (Ceaser, Spring, and Garden), fresh baked french baguettes with an olive oil dip with various herbs (delicious) there was also a plate of various kinds of cheese and refreshing grapes on each table. Following the second game, the ladies came for a lovely piece of chocolate or white cake with tea. After the third game, we gave out the prizes to the winners. The weather was nice and pleasant. The winners of this tournament were: Lead, Helena Ho, Vice, Sandy McKenzie, and, Skip, Gloria Cheung. Louise St. John and Pierre Vanderhout (KLBC) took first place with 3 wins. Curtis Wartman (KLBC) and Isaac Kerr (Belleville LBC) were the high 2-game winners. Tony Griffin and Linda Carter/Fred Hofman (KLBC) were the high 1-game winners. Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home Mixed Pairs  Tournament Date: August 15, 2022 Tournament Notes and Results: On August 15, we hosted the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home tournament. Overall winner was the team of Charlie and Fran Cooney (Kingston). 2nd place was the team of Don Godin and Liz Reid (Belleville). 3rd place winner was the team of Curtis Wartman and Nick Fall (Kingston). The winners are pictured with Drawmaster Maureen Butler.
