Aussi (Open) Pairs July 5, 2023 We had 12 teams, on noticeably faster greens, for this annual event. Players came from as far as Cobourg to the west and Ottawa to the east. Special thanks to the tournament coordinator and drawmaster, Louise St. John, for her exceptional efforts in making this happen!
![]() Amadeus Cafe - National Bowls Day Spectacular Open Pairs, June 3, 2023 It was a beautiful day for bowling in Kingston. What a great way to celebrate National Bowls Day! It was also great to see so many first- and second-year bowlers taking part. They are the future of the sport!

Jack Siboni and Bill Donald Tournament Date: October 5, 2019 Tournament Format: Open Triples Tournament Notes and Results: This was the last open tournament for 2019. It was played on the artificial green (the carpet). We had 12 very competitive teams battling for first place. We played 3x12 ends and the winners were from Willowdale Lawn Bowling Club. Mark Bernstein, (skip) Hossein Zhian (vice) and Jack Siboni (lead). The weather was a bit cool, (Bill Donald provided hand warmers for all bowlers) but the sun came-up once in a while to make it very comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast, Swiss rolls, banana cake, raisin bread, muffins coffee and tea. During the first game Bill Donald made hot chocolate drink and some bowlers served themselves. After the second game all players came in for apple, cherry, and blueberry pie with ice cream. The game ended at 4:15pm, the prizes were given out and everybody left by about 5:15pm. All in all it was a very good day. Looking forward for next year. Bill and I would like to have a full house (16 teams) next year. Please look up the date in the 2020 Annual and come and enjoy the last open Willowdale tournament on the carpet. Bill and I would also like to thank all the teams that participated in this event and hope to see you all next year and more. There were teams from various lawn bowling clubs, (Agincourt, Cosburn Park, Balmy Beach, Stouffville, Cobourg, James Garden, Heritage Greens and Willowdale). Have a good winter. |
