Tournament Notes and Results:
On August 15, we hosted the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home tournament. Overall winner was the team of Charlie and Fran Cooney (Kingston). 2nd place was the team of Don Godin and Liz Reid (Belleville). 3rd place winner was the team of Curtis Wartman and Nick Fall (Kingston). The winners are pictured with Drawmaster Maureen Butler. Thanks to all of the volunteers who made this event possible!

This tournament was attended by 10 teams composed of very competitive bowlers. The weather was very hot and humid, we started with 14 ends game and after the first game, we decided to play only 12 ends for the next to games. We are looking forward to seeing more entries next year. Look up the date on the OLBA website 2023 Annual and save the date.

The winners were: Skip, Steve McKerihen, Vice, Andy Caldwell, and Lead, Unky Zangwill, followed by the runner-up, team of, Skip, Bill McCollam, Vice, Martin Foxhall, and Lead, Pierre Vandrhout.

Tournament Notes and Results:

This was the first mixed trips tournament for 2022. It was played on the newly restored grass greens. We had 8 very competitive teams battling for first place. We played 3x12 ends and the winners were from Brampton Lawn Bowling Club. Frank Dinardo, (skip) Sandy Mckenzie (vice) and, Doreen Semple (lead).

The weather was cloudy with some sunny patches, (21°C) it was very comfortable.

We had a lovely breakfast, raisin bread, muffins coffee, and, tea. After the second game, all players came in for ice cream. The game ended at 4:15 pm, the prizes were given out and everybody left by about 5:00 pm. All in all, it was a very good day. Looking forward to next year.

We had teams from Agincourt, Brampton, Leaside, Pickering, Balmy Beach, and, Willowdale. Have a good 2022 bowling season.
