Willowdale Open Triples on Carpet

This was the Willowdale LBC's last Outside Tournament for the 2022 Bowling Season. I would like to thank all the participants from various clubs: Agincourt LBC, Cobourg LBC, Stouffville LBC, and Willowdale LBC. The field had 8 very competitive teams, which included, provincial and national, gold and silver medalists' bowlers. The game started at 9:30 am and the weather was ideal for bowling, sunny and warm in the sun, and a bit cooler in the shade. The day started as usual, with a very light breakfast, of raisin bread, mini donuts, coffee, and tea. The lunch break was complimented with cheeses, chips, fruits, and vegetables. After the second game, the players came in for warm pie, ice cream, coffee, and tea. The breakfast and the in-between game food were prepared by our ladies in the kitchen; Gay Spooner, Sandy Volasko, and Joan Huang, thank you, ladies. The competition ended at 4:45 pm. The winning team from Cobourg LBC was Skip - Steve McKerihen, Vice - Martin Foxhall, and lead, Murray Bennewies. followed by the runner-up team of, Skip, Chrystal Shephard, Vice, Gloria Cheung, and Lead, Sandy McKenzie from Willowdale LBC. All in all a perfect way to end the 2022 Tournament Bowling Season for Willowdale LBC. Hope to see you all and more next year.
